Founders Associate – Hong Kong
I’m looking for a Founder’s Associate to work directly with me on building and improving the Lifestyle Business Academy (amongst other things).
Hey 👋
I’m looking for a Founder’s Associate to work directly with me on building and improving the Lifestyle Business Academy.
The Lifestyle Business Academy is our flagship programme designed to help people build six-figure lifestyle businesses, and I need someone awesome who can be my right hand as we scale and help as many people as possible achieve freedom through building their own businesses.
Our mission is to become the world’s best online business school, as an alternative to traditional MBA programs. With an MBA, you learn how to build someone else’s business, whereas with the Lifestyle Business Academy (LBA), you build your own 😊 With an MBA, you graduate with hundreds of thousands of debt. With LBA, you hopefully graduate with hundreds of thousands of dollars of profit 😉
Think of this role as “special ops for the founder” – you’ll be my extra pair of hands, deployed on whatever high-value projects need doing to make LBA the best product it can be. One week you might be analysing hundreds of student support threads to identify patterns. The next, you’re cross-referencing coach feedback against our curriculum to find gaps. The week after, you’re building a system to streamline onboarding.
I’ve talked more about the role in the Loom above but there are more details below, plus a link to the application form.
If you’re the kind of person who thrives on variety, loves figuring things out, and gets satisfaction from shipping work that actually matters – this role is for you 🔥
Type: Full-time, in-person
Location: Causeway Bay, Hong Kong (no remote options for this one, sorry!)
Salary: Whatever it takes to find someone great. Seriously.
Deadline: There’s no deadline. We’ll close this job description as soon as we find the right person. So if you’re reading this, the role’s still open, and you should apply 😊
What You’ll Be Doing
The work will vary constantly, but here are real examples of projects you’d take on:
🔍 Product Intelligence – Go through all student Slack support threads, identify recurring issues, and synthesise findings into actionable recommendations. You’ll be the person who spots patterns that help us make LBA dramatically better.
📚 Quality Control – Cross-reference coach feedback against our playbooks – are we teaching what students actually need help with? You’ll help us close the gaps between what we’re delivering and what our students need.
⚙️ Systems Building – Create and improve operational systems (Notion, Slack, Circle) to make the student and coach experience smoother. If something’s clunky, you’ll figure out how to make it elegant.
📊 Research & Analysis – Dive into data, competitor programs, student feedback surveys – surface insights that help us make better decisions. You’ll be the person who brings receipts to meetings.
📝 Content Support – Help prepare materials for weekly workshops, organise resources, keep our knowledge base updated. You’ll make sure our content machine runs smoothly.
🎯 Random High-Leverage Tasks – Whatever needs doing to move LBA forward. If it’s important and undefined, it probably lands on your desk.
Ad-hoc stuff related to content / software – LBA is one of the three core aspects of our business, the other two being content and software. While your role will mostly focus on LBA, occasionally there might be some stuff that I need your help with on the content side, or on the software side – you’d be able to plug into those as needed.
What We’re Looking For
We’re after someone who’s comfortable with ambiguity, enjoys getting things done with autonomy, and excited by the idea of building something meaningful.
Here’s what you bring to the table:
You’re AI-native. You use AI tools daily and instinctively – ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, Notion AI, whatever gets the job done faster. You’re not intimidated by new tools; you’re excited by them.
You have a bias to action. You don’t wait for perfect instructions. You figure out what needs doing, do it, and report back. “I tried X, here’s what happened” beats “What should I do?” every single time.
You’re high agency. You take ownership. When something’s unclear, you clarify it. When something’s broken, you flag it (or just fix it). You don’t let things fall through cracks.
You’re a sharp communicator. You write clearly and concisely. You know how to summarise complex information without losing the important bits. No waffle.
You’re comfortable with ambiguity. The role will evolve. Projects will be loosely defined. You’ll need to be OK with “figure it out” being part of the job description.
You’re based in Hong Kong (or willing to relocate). This is an in-person role at our Causeway Bay office. I know remote is the dream, but for this particular role I really need someone I can turn to and say “hey, can you look at this?” throughout the day, and have stuff sorted on the day.
Nice-to-haves:
- Interest in the creator economy, online education, or coaching businesses
- Experience with tools like Notion, Slack, Circle, Loom
- Background in ops, consulting, startups, or anything where you had to wear multiple hats
- Familiarity with my content or the lifestyle business space

The Lifestyle Business Academy is our flagship programme helping people build businesses that give them freedom over their time, location, and income. We’re a small, focused team – part content company, part education business. We value people who are smart, kind, and get things done without drama.
You’ll be joining a dynamic, friendly team who don’t believe in red tape and try our best to have fun every day. This is the perfect role for someone who’s hungry to learn, contribute and grow with no bureaucratic paperwork or super-long protocols to follow 🚀
What We Offer
🎯 Direct Access – You’ll work directly with me, not through layers of management. Your work will have immediate, visible impact on a product serving hundreds of students from all backgrounds, all working towards building $100k+ businesses and beyond.
🧠 Learn by Doing – You’ll get exposure to every aspect of running a high-value coaching business – curriculum design, community management, marketing, operations, customer success.
🔥 Ownership & Autonomy – We’re a lean team. You won’t be a cog – you’ll be a key player with real responsibility from day one. No red tape, no waiting for approvals.
📈 Growth Potential – If you’re great, this could evolve into a leadership role as LBA scales. We’re building something and want people who want to build with us.
✈️ Team Retreats – Join us for bi-annual team retreats in amazing locations around the world to connect, collaborate, and have fun.
📚 Unlimited Learning – Access to courses, books, and resources to support your personal and professional growth.
